Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Watt Bike to help British alpine stars

It's the start of a new training block, and with all the Team Evolution athletes back in the UK for a rest week, what better way to start the month but with some good news! Yannick left the Team Evolution base on Sunday for a few days back in England, with meetings with sponsors, financial backers and various press and media outlets on the schedule.

Most of the new brands are still under wraps, until there are any official announcements ready to be made, but today he finalised a deal with another Team Partner for the 2011 and 2012 seasons, Wattbike.

The Wattbike was created with British Cycling to provide a high quality indoor bike for training and testing that is suitable for everyone, but will be of huge benefit to the Team Evolution athletes on two levels. The bikes allows talent training, monitoring of fitness, talent identification, and racing for everyone from children through to elite athletes, and will provide a key part of the summer fitness and conditioning training, and will travel with the Team in the winter to help with recovery sessions.

In 2000, the four partners of Wattbike approached British Cycling with their idea - to create an indoor bike that accurately measured Watts! British Cycling was immediately on board and provided a list of criteria the Wattbike must meet. Over the next seven years the Wattbike took shape and on every visit to British Cycling, with a completed checklist of criteria Peter Keen and Louis Passfield came up with another longer list, until in the autumn of 2006 the product finally met their requirements. British Cycling then took it to the English Institute of Sport and tested it until they were happy that the power output on the Performance Computer was correct. Then, and only then, did the Wattbike become the first and only indoor bike to be endorsed by British Cycling.

Wattbike currently work alongside some of the best talent in the UK, ranging from the James Cracknell & the British Rowing Team and British Cycling, to up and coming sports stars of the future. Alex Skelton from Wattbike was delighted that the Team Evolution athletes will be using Wattbikes as a key part of their program throughout next season, offering to not just supply the Team with 2 bikes but also access to the Wattbike training and testing facility, with support from Concept2 Rowers.

A big shout out to Yannick and Wattbike for putting the partnership together to benefit the Team Evolution athletes for the next 18 months.

If you fancy finding out more about Wattbike, staying up to date with their latest news or seeing which of your local gyms use their top end products, then make sure you check out their website - www.wattbike.com/uk

Keep your eyes on the Team Evolution website for more sponsorship deals, athlete updates and exciting news as it develops... We're expecting big things from Yann while he's back in the UK and from the rest of the staff who are working on new athletes and programs from the Austrian base.
