REnE, nah, they've been busy in this market for many many years. Loads of on-snow injuries (and deaths) and plenty from dry slopes.

Take your spam and shove it up your posterior.

Winterhighland, was a torn posterior on that list? Gotta be worth a few grand.

Yes, I'm sure a helmet could tear a posterior cruciate ligament.

Funny, most of the men I know who don't wear helmets are among the very best skiers I know.
This spam is just weird. Not sure how it will help them get whatever it is they are seeking.
I'll do my best to avoid amputation on piste. So far, in 42 seasons, I've managed to do that...

Among her clients are "Ambulance Chasers Ltd" and "Holiday Extras", slight conflict of interest perhaps?

£700 down on an busted ACL, waiting on insurance to refund me.
Quick Q, does anyone know the average turnaround on insurance pay outs?

Branson hasn’t revealed if he intends to pursue the teenager for damages, but solicitors are warning skiers to make themselves familiar with the Fédération Internationale de Ski (FIS) Skiers Code as it clearly states: “A skier or snowboarder coming from behind must choose his route in such a way that he does not endanger skiers or snowboarders ahead.”

Feel free to run over the snowbladers then

Gosh, that's a lot. What was that for? My only similar experience saw the insurance co. picking up almost everything direct.

achilles, yup. Treatment and Xrays at the (excellent) english medical centre, upfront payement required. Plus brace, bandages and pills were all purchased at a resort pharmacy, try giving them an insurance claim reference in lieu of payement.

I wonder if Lucre are successful. I wondered, at first, whether their website was a spoof! As for ambulance-chasing solicitors: I too am old-fashioned.

Dr John, £700 sounds a lot. When I did my ACL the day before I went home, the doctor at the medical centre told me not to bother with knee brace, dressings or pain killers from the pharmacy, as they were too expensive. I'm not sure they would have been recuperable on my insurance anyway
Hope its better soon.

Dogtag payout within 2 weeks
another company took over 6 weeks.

Dr John, I hope you had advance agreement from your insurers for the expenditure you incurred. They're not keen on paying for stuff they've not agreed to upfront. My sister in law had an ACL injury here (they were borrowing our apartment, we weren't here) and they arranged a lot of stuff themselves, didn't even contact the insurance company for days and days. I suspect they ended up VERY out of pocket but we've never got to the bottom of it.
Good luck with it.

Can I recommend a personal amputation just above the shoulders for Kimberly.

I wonder whether it's worth sending a link to this thread to the OP's company - they must have a web contact page - or is that classed as being a little underhand?
