Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Martin,

is the 24 hours of Aspen race still run and did You and Graham ever do it again?

ps still remember watching you on Good Morning Vail, "it's a powder day out there!"

nb edited out Vail and replaced with Aspen to make me look slightly less thick, though clearly stating this means i am thicker than even I thought... Confused

That "summer ski resort" looks pretty similar to GLencoe in full swing!

Cool. Nice to see pics of Beartooth Pass - drove over it from Yellowstone last summer and quite nice to see a drag coming up to the highway at the top - looked plenty steep as the pics of the youngster evidence.

Red Lodge has a great faux Austrian motel with steam cabinet baths as a feature.

ansta1, sadly the 24 Hours of Aspen lost its sponsorship around 2004 and is no longer run.
Some more info on the Red Lodge summer skiing, on their website: http://rlissc.com/aboutus.html

How have I never seen this thread before?

Absolutely stunning photos, thanks for sharing. There are some seriously good kids there! I suppose I should expect nothing less haha

That's the kind of place I'd have loved to spend a season, and just learn to get better on all kinds of terrain.

Great pics, thank you for posting.

I looked hard at going on a trip there with Epic a good few years ago, I think if travel there from the UK was a little easier that I'd have definately gone. I haven't written it off though snowHead

Here are some more shots, from January 2014, featuring some of the young lads on the local ski team.
These kids don't realise how lucky they are, growing up somewhere like this.
