Bob, in more detail: the Rockies, like the Alps, can have pretty varied weather in spring (late March, April), ranging from mild sunny days with daytime high temps around +5C, to pretty severe snowstorms where it might drop to -10C. The real cold snaps (below -20C) are rare at that time of year.
