Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

After a monumental b@lls up by a TO which included them telling me I can't go on holiday to Les Menuires as not enough people had booked 8 days before the off, then a swift conversation asking politely for money my back (which they agreed to), I have now booked to go to Laax this Saturday staying in the Rocks Resort
So, does anybody have any inside information on where to eat and drink (fairly cheap, but willing to try anything), and off piste powder stashes. Or anyone know if there is actually any powder there, or will I be spending my week in the park??

from last year is probably a good starting point. I really liked the place. Rocks is right next to the lifts close to where I stayed.

, Thanks for that!! I was expecting it to be quite expensive being Switzerland, but £10 for mountain food seems pretty cheap compared to some resorts! Can you remember if there was a supermarket close by if I decide eat in a couple of nights?

, Exchange rate has come down a little since then. Yes there's a small supermarket within 50 metres of Rocks, had a reasonable selection of stuff. If you're eating out most nights there's probably more choice in Flims there's a bus but I didn't use it.
