To quote Nick Fellowes on Eurosport as Didier Cuche crosses the line:
"it's win number 2..... Didier Cuche wins again..."
How does he know Cuche is going to take the win? It clearly states "Eurosport Live" in the corner of my screen, and with Cuche wearing bib number 22, there are 39 racers after Cuche???
Is it not really live?
Or is he psychic?

cresswell80, or is there no one anywhere near Didier Cuche's form skiing after him?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The guy's a legend in my book. Cuche looks as strong as an OX. No one is near him at the moment imho. Great result for the young Italian.

Absolutely, but "Cuche takes the lead" would be more appropriate surely?! It is possible after all for him to beaten, although I admit, not likely! Also, who'd have thought your man Paris would have finished 2nd!?
It's not like you say "Man Utd win again" when they go one-nil up after an hour against West Ham!
Or am I being a pedant?!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

cresswell80, given the time he got and the way the rest of the field had done so far it was probably a bit more like Man U going 4-0 up after an hour...

Seeing Cuche flying down the Mausefalle in the tuck last week, whilst everybody else was surviving the terrifying jump was awesome.

Agreed; watched it and me and my son both said the same when he did it....
He is currently a step ahead of the rest!

OK next question!!!
How do they determine the start order for the 2nd run in the SC? I always thought it was in reverse time order, i.e. The fastest from the 1st run goes last, however Beat Feuz was fastest on the DH leg and there are loads of racers starting after him on the Slalom leg??
|

|
|
|
|
cresswell80, In SC they reverse only the top 30 fastest from the 1st run, then it's the 31st, 32nd etc.
Well done to ED Drake of GB for getting 26th overall in SC & some WC points.
Strange how Ed was given the start over TJ Baldwin though, especially as TJ is GB ranked No1 in SC & No100 in the world. Ed is ranked No3 in SC in GB & 145 in the world. Coaches decision, not his. Ed is 4th year senior, TJ is first year.
The other alpine nations gave their younger skiers a chance, why not team GB?

Just watched the highlights on SKi Sunday extra- that's one tight right hander for the skiers to negotiate
Any news on Osborn-Paradis' injury - was the hospital trip just precautionary? I notice that Bode wasn't mentioned, did he have the weekend off then?

It's pretty easy.... top 7 guys in WC have numbers from 16 to 22. Sure there's still chance someone with later number might win, but these chances are minimal, so when number 22 is down, top 3 or even top 5 results are pretty much final. Just take a look on results and check bib number, and you will see there's not many in top 10 with numbers above 30 and also not many on top 5 with numbers above 22.
