Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

On slope childminding in Chamonix - Help

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I spend about 50% of the season n Chamonix, and for 6 weeks my 4 year old is with me and I ski with her for a couple of hours a day.

For 1 week her friend comes out to join her and they ski together for a couple of hours a day.

Now last year we had a nice American chap (who was a US ski instructor) who took them out for these couple of hours. Of course he wouldn't have instructed due to licencing etc, but we paid him a better hourly rate than his other half got for child minding in the apartment, and the childrens skiing moved on (purely by learning through osmosis in the company of an instructor I'm sure).

So my question is: Are you such a person, or do you know someone who is?

The week when the 2no 4 year olds are out is 18th-23rd Feb inclusive, but we would no doubt want a bit of the same for just my little girl on top at other times.

If any one would like to post about the perils of my enquiry (insurance, legality, child abduction, CRB checks etc), then my best suggestion is why not save your time and Admins server space, because I don't want to get into a 20 page Nixmap style defense of what I'm asking wink

Thanks for any suggestions. I look forward to hearing from you all Shocked

midgetbiker, hope you find someone. Child-minding on the slopes sounds excellent - it's what I will be doing for a while in April, but unpaid 'cos I'm a granny.

Surely you can find a reliable person already working in some role in resort, if its just a few hours a day for a week?
