Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi, I'm looking to go away with my mates for a trip somewhere in Europe and we want to get more snow time by doing some night riding. We were wondering if anyone can recommend a good resort that offers this, and how much piste is lit etc.
Thanks

Burtonboy83, Soll, Austria. Almost the whole front side of the mountain. Look it up but probably close to 2,500 vertical feet. Flachau (I think) is the other good one. I've sampled Soll a number of times and it's really great. Only downsides are the cold (no sun to take the chill away) and the fact that they make tons of snow at night so you are always skiing through plumes of the stuff. Also the locals come out to play and some of them are nuts - good, but nuts.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Norway has great night skiing in both Geilo and Hemsedal, but you will have to o centend with Norwegian prices, Hemseadal has some really great skiing both on and off piste.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I did night skiing in Obertauren and although they only had one slope open (it was long though and of a blue/red difficulty) it was good fun.

They now do night skiing at 1850 from the verdons fun park, they alternate it with night sledgeing. Lot's of views on the 3v's and courchevel both good bad and indifferent, but as a mainly red and black blaster it suits me and the family.
