Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

bar roma courmayeur

seems the same in most resorts i've been to (apart from bansko) but do bars expect to make money after happy hour.

just back from courmayeur and had been going to bar roma during happy hour, then back to hotel for some food.
my last night i went after dinner, the place was empty and noticed that a "pint" was 10euro (earlier it's 5). so promptly left. dont mind paying extra in the mountains to a point as these places have to make some money in potentially short seasons. However roma looked to be having a laugh with the pricing and as the place had more staff then punters surely there is a point when the penny drops.

mugen, probably the fact that it's a quiet week in Courmayeur and when I was there the après was just that, straight from the slopes. Bar Roma always had complimentary nibbles too. There didn't seem to be much happening in the town after everyone had gone back to their hotels to eat.

thats the thing surely you want to have more punters than staff after dinner. fair enough load the late pricing but give an incentive to go there.

Fond memories of the nibbles after the ski with a pint in hand!! I was there four years ago and it was dead in the evening then also, but so was most of the town it only got busy on the Friday ! If memory serves me right it was six euros a pint then.

Not forgeting the comfy sofas!
