Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Not lame at all! - it looks very cool - I love time lapse/ stop motion videos. There are loads of good ones on Vimeo (but I'm sure you know that).

You're out there all season aren't you? It would be good if you could extend it and make a full time lapse video.

e17phil, hey, yes i am here for a few months yet. I am planning on making a full length time lapse feature but i dont think my hardware is sufficient. This video took 4 hours to render!! Shocked

WOW! That's a long time - I guess the consolation is that it DID render. I created a video a few years ago which would spend 3-4 hours rendering then crash at 95% each time - rather frustrating.

Di you create the time-lapse with stills? If so what software did you use? I may have a solution if you used stills and have Adobe Premiere (or can download a free trial).

Liveezy, that's great. I'm a beginner at video - just looking at the instructions for my camera (a panasonic HD) I can't see how to do time-lapse, but maybe I;m just being thick.

pam w, Most stop motion is done with stills using an SLR - or at least the ones I have done are.

Stills are far higher resolution than video footage so I reduce their size and then string them together in a video editor (Adobe Premiere allows the importation as one clip as opposed to 100s of pictures).

If your camcorder doesn't have a time lapse mode then you would have to use software to do this. Never done it that way so not sure how it's done (and it would depend upon the software).

Is this what you're doing while recuperating? Why aren't you time-lapsing your leg?

Sofia, I'm a ski bum, a daily photo of my back bottom is way too much commitment for me! This did take a whole day though, hiking about is hard work! Laughing
