Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

dean71,

Hi.

There are a couple of stickys at the top of this section which should give you more than you want to know on the subject.

Anything more specific and someone should be able to answer.

Pay Colin a visit at www.solutions4feet.com (if it's not too far for you) ... aka CEM.

FWIW the hire gear at Glenshee is dismal.

Where are you? While I am sure that CEM is excellent, Bicester may not be convenient.

Go to a shop which sells a decent range of boots, and which has a decent fitter. If you tell us where you are, someone may be able to point you in the right direction. If you're near Perth, then Banks' have a good reputation; Craigdons appear to have a good range but I know nothing of their expertise (which may exceed Banks' - I really don't know). Elsewhere, I have no idea.

dean71, guessing you are local ish to genshee, if so craigdon in either perth or aberdeen have probably the best fitters in the area, be aware that the boot which is right will feel a little too small when you first put it on, your toes will hit the front when you go in to it at first but when it is clipped up and the liner has warmed up a bit with the heat of your foot it should settle down and you should have a bit of wiggle room around the toes (not too much mind) so give it time to warm up rather than dismissing a boot as soon as you put your foot in it

good lukc getting sorted
