Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Free lifts in Val d'isere????

 Poster: A snowHead

Can anyone enlighten me as to what they mean by some free lifts in Val d'isere? Does it really mean what it says? We have some people in our group that are quite advanced now and adventurous but there are some also that haven't taken to it quite so fast as the rest, they would be happy with 1 - 2 hours a day gentle skiing then chilling and having a long lunch while people watching. My question is as they may not be using the slopes much would it benefit them if they didn't purchase their lift passes before going, used the free lifts and if they get bored then purchase a day pass while out there etc depending on how they get along? Thanks for any info you can give us Very Happy

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

If you go to this map & zoom into the area next to the text VAL D'ISERE 1850, you will see black/white dotted lines — they are the free lifts.

This will mean they can't get up to the best places to eat/people watch with you.

They could also be interested in the aqua centre (if not skiing)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The beginners slopes are to the centre of Val d'Isere and surround the bottom of the Solaise Express chair. These beginners slopes have two chairlifts and one button lift that are free. From the Rogeney chair one can access some short but challenging slopes - one, the Coombe Martan, is the last 200 metres of a black run that often has ice and moguls. But most of the are these three lifts access is gentle.

La Dialle has one free lift, a button lift, just on the Val d'Isere side of the bottmo of the Funival. This lift accesses a gentle slope that has trees to dodge around and may have powder snow.
