Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Antibacterial Body spray

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Whilst nosing through some posts about base layers a couple of weeks ago, I'm sure someone posted a comment about the use of an antibacterial body spray rather than an antiperspirant/deodorant - specifically with regard to wearing merino wool stuff.

I've tried to find the thread but can't.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about, or am I just making it up????

Very Happy

mozwold, I've got some industrial strength antibacteriacidal liquid, but I guess it would take the surface of your skin off

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

it's in the Sticky for Newbie's clothing - I don't know how to crosslink to that post neatly, but it's at the top of the screen in the Equipment Reviews/Questions forum

mozwold, What you're looking for is a small refillable spray bottle of 'Bionsen'. It's full of crystal salts that you keep adding water to . . . just like yer great Granny used to not stink. You'll find it in most chemists and Super Drug. Works brilliantly and lasts fer ages.

If you have a fungal infections like crusty toenails and splits between yer toes . . . which also likes to migrate to your 'two vege' area via your towels making your crotch whiff then there are two non-prescription remedies.

1: Coconut oil, melts at body temperature, is nicely lubricant, with no record of allergy and is almost as good as 'sweet almond' for mutual pleasure . . . but takes its time to eradicate a the last vestiges of a fungal infection. PS doesn't stain.

2: Vicks Vapour Rub, cures crusty nails and Athletes Foot very quickly (well the nails need time to keep application and to grow out) and IF you're 'man' enough will also quite quickly cure a nasty case of 'nut sweat rash' . . . but the first time can be a bit of a teeth clencher Shocked Shocked

With both of the above you don't need to lather it on, just a light smear well rubbed in to he affected areas.

Masque, jeez, I was eating an apple when I read that. Put me right off. Your love of anatomical/physiological detail is quite remarkable...

Masque, you owe me a new keyboard. Lapsed back into my antiperspirant habit, as none of my wholesalers stock Bionsen. I used it for a while and it was very good. Think I cured JB's smelly pits with it when he was in hospital. Not a normal occurrence, think it must have been a side-effect of anaesthetic.

Masque, Thanks for the info, got the Bionsen from Boots - don't have any of the nasties you go on to discuss so fortunately don't need to subject myself to the "teeth clencher"- but I'm 'ard I coulda don' it..lol.

Pamw....... for your information, this stuff claims to be bacteriostatic, which you probably know means that it will inhibit growth but not kill
.

Thanks for all contributions
