Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Knackered footbeds?

So I came home from work the other week to find my 17 yr old had been wearing my ski boots. I had these fitted at Nevada Sports with a custom footbed and he is a shoe size larger than me. Only had a weeks skiing in them so virtually new.

He'd been building a snowman with them on! Doesn't seem to have done the footbeds a deal of good, instead of nice smooth toe area they are now all rippled up where he has rammed his feet in there. Anything I can do other than new footbeds?

What holidayloverxx, said, though if someone with feet a size bigger than yours could physically get their feet in your boots it sounds as though they might be a bit on the large size for you so how about telling him he stretched your boots and make him buy you some new ones complete with footbeds!

Like it, to be fair they always felt a little big, but I assumed the fitter knew what he was doing. It's a squeeze for me to get in them but when in I can lift heel more than I'd like, looks like I'll be off to Bicester or Adlington when I need some more.

Ellis Brigham down at the Tamworth fridge did a good job on my boot fitting and happily tweaked the fit after I'd skied them and things had bedded down a bit, told me to keep going back if I ever need them adjusting.
