Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Has anyone used them? Or have any thoughts?

I've struggled a lot with blistered shins, so thought these might be the answer.

Feast, IMHO they are not fixing the issue but masking it, have you had your boots looked at by a decent boot fitter?

They were developed and produced by a friend of my brother Cool

I've never had to use one though.

Kiten, I've just bought a new pair of boots and had them fitted, in an attempt to resolve the issue.

I see your point about masking the issue, but I have quite pointy tibia... Laughing

Feast, it's never too late to discover who you REALLY are Laughing

not at all, a truly unisex problem I imagine (though I wouldn't go chucking them up on the bar while ordering your first apres wink )

you could try an old fighting conditioner - heavy old whiskey bottle or similar (empty rolling eyes ) and tap tap tap up and down the bare shins everyday

Barry, are these items truly reusable? i.e. will one pair be enough for a week?

my daughter uses similar foam ones - sure they'll be fine for a week. Just swill them under a tap if they get grotty.

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

Feast, http://www.tena.co.uk/Women/products/product-range/ (yes, I've seen them used - wouldn't suggest swilling under a tap though wink )

Feast, I've used these routinely for a few years, made a massive difference at first (blisters). After a week my shins are definitely balder though Confused . A few months ago one ended up slightly wrinkled and I kept skiing with it -> 2" blister.

kitenski, Probably. I used to tighten the upper buckles as much as possible rolling eyes I think the bootfitter was too polite to say anything.

er-indoors has had the same ones for a couple of seasons, about 20 days per, so no problem re-using.
