When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Chalet Le Biol Courchevel 1650.

Hi

Early trip to above Dec 12th 2010.
Snow all around but Gatwick clear. Got two hours skiing in, on arrival day. 13 euro ticket.
Sunny three days, snow packed but good. Nice bits off the side.
30cm. powder fell for two days, then sun again, so excellent skiing had. Nice for early season.
Offpiste awesome. All 3v links open, but Mont Vallon remained closed ??????? Politics...huh!
19 in chalet. some great people. Had a ball.
Nearly died on the Wednesday night in -22c. hiking back up to chalet. Really too far to walk after a few pints and a belly full of Pizza.
Drag lift outside chalet also closed all week. Pity, it would have saved 250 yd. hike to piste. Ski back to chalet OK though.
Chalet staff were awesome. Great food and lots of it. 4 staff so no inefficiencies at all. 1euro honesty bar made up the lack of local bars.
No taxis based in 1650 so expensive to call out. But it is France, so rip off normal. Local bus stopped at 7pm. so watch out.
Accommodation was basic, but comfy. Chalet warm and plenty of hot water. Pity the fireplace didn't work, smoked out when attempted.
Really rate this chalet experience, but it does rely on the Company inherent. Luckily all were serious skiers this early in the season, and they had the spirit to go with it. Good laughs and no pissheads boozing till 3am. We were pissed by 11pm.
Added bonus was the money saved by not going into town each night. 9euros a beer is a bit hard to take these days.
Silverski maintain their standards.

We had 4 formula 1 engineers who really enjoyed themselves at 4.00 am but did not wake us!!
Cooked breakfast every am and Great service from Dan

Beat any previous silver holiday in last 20 years and probably the cheapest also
