Are there any european resorts that do Not have Drag lifts or Poma tows?
I like Monoskiing but not riding surface lifts on one.

cc_7up, IIRC apart from the park access lift no drags whatsoever in Val Thorens.

there are almost zero in folgarida/marlleva in Italy, in fact you don't get poma's in many italian resorts at all......we've been to a fair few and i can only recall using a poma once......

Probably almost all resorts will have drag lifts for ski schools or snow park use etc...
But again you can still ski most of them without using one if you don't want to.
Since I started snowboarding I never used a drag lift in the resort and I never missed many runs.
Obertauern, Flachau, Livigno - all very modern lifts - no need for drags.
Serre Chevelier, St Anton - there are some but marginal and again can be easily avoided if you plan your journey with the map.

There is a poma on the glacier giving access to the highest point in the area. There used to be two but the lower one has been out of action for two years and is likely to remain so as far as I understand. That means to get to the higher one you have to hang on a to a rope behind a piste machine or walk and pole your way across, which is not so easy on a mono.

Most of the big resorts I've been to have the vast majority of their pistes served by non-surface lifts. Les Arcs, for example, has a t-bar which you'd only want to use if you want to lap around the snowpark, and a drag lift serving one dead-end red piste which can be avoided at no great cost. The rest of the domain is served by chairlifts/gondolas/cablecars. Would this be suitable for you, or do you want to avoid resorts which have surface lifts regardless of how little terrain is served by them.

Did I say that it was? How many big resorts in Austria rely on surface lifts to access a large proportion of their pistes?

freeheelskier, The big resorts in Autria have almost all been upgrading teir lifts greatly in the last few years (particularly since the planning rules are quite restrictive on new lifts - as opposed to replacements).
In the last two years I have only used one - which was in the Ski Welt and no need to use it unless you particularly want to. I didn't see any in the other resorts I skied (although didn't ski all of any resort).
There are generally very few outside the nursery slopes in the major Austrian resorts nowadays.

Its just one more big thing we need to be grateful to snowboarders for, along with better music, fully waterproof trousers, fat skis, oh yes and the dope.

A few nursery tows. An alternative route up to the Greitspitze and a funny horizontal one to cut out a bit of poling, but nothing that is in any way important or necessary to the none beginner.

Solden does have a couple of drag lifts. One is significantly long and steepish. In the main the rest of the resort is covered by fast bubles and covered chairs.
