Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Belts (or braces)

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
My old ski trousers had a belt sewn into them, so it was never something I worried about. My new ones just have belt loops and I did not think to look around the shop for a suitable belt... where can I pick one up online?

Also is it possible to retro fit braces, if the trousers don't have them built in or specific fittings for em?

Cheers
(I realise these are amongst the dumbest questions ever asked here!)

Any outdoor shop should sell nylon webbing type belts which should be OK

Braces wise, try to find a country store. Got some designed to hold up heavy padded chain saw safety trousers. No specific brand, cost a few quid.
Nice big 'clamps' which work on thick or thin material. Way way better than anything I've seen in outdoor shops.

fragglerock, I like braces on mountaineering or skiing trousers, so when they are not supplied MrsS makes them permanently fixed to the trousers so no big uncomfortable clips under rucksack belts. All the bits are available in John Lewis haberdashery department.
