Depends on the weather. A nice cold beer after a storming run and a lot of hard work. Something stronger if the snow is flying all about and there are icicles about my person. Heisse schockolade mit for such occasions, it's a comfort thing. Strange how I'm willing to drink something in the alps that at home I would consider the first step on a slippery slope to alkydom.

II, it's funny, I was just thinking how much I look forward to that first cup of tea when I get back to chalet/hotel (even if I've had something else on the way back.) Red wine with lunch, though - one glass, or at the most two.

Nice cold beer when having a break. Only one though. I do like a cheeky schnapps in the hip flask. Then a cup of tea and some cake when I first get back to the accomodation.

hedley, had the very same thing this summer in Austria in the campsite bar - Aperol spritzer, mmmm nice.
On the slopes vin chaud, off the slopes, small beer followed by Mauresque and then when the dancing starts, dare I say it Toffee Vodka
