Poster: A snowHead
|
I am getting my dad a fitting and new boots this christmas, but havent decided who to go with yet.
I was thinking a trip to London to see profeet but if there are any snowheads who can recommend someone/somewhere based in the south-west, then I would rather give them my money!
thanks

illianceblock, Colin (posts here as CEM) is based in Bicester. Gets much better reviewed than Profeet....

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

You need to Login to know who's really who.

It's pointless asking for recommendations if you are going to ignore them and there are plently of threads that have done this before, just do a search!
As the man says Bicester is the place to go, if it's not "convenient" then go wherever and take the risk but you won't find anywhere better than Solutions4Feet!

There's a thread on here where someone suggested Filarinski at Portsmouth, IIRC.
Never used them myself though, I made the Biscester Pilgrimage.

illianceblock, I used profeet who didn't actually fit new boots for me, but they advised me correctly on my then current ones and made me some footbeds. CEM's verdict on the old boots was the same as profeet's and he said the footbeds were fine, allowing me to use them in my new boots. So - up to a point - Colin endorsed profeet's work. Hope this helps.

Well we had very good experiences with profeet and would highly recommend them, if you were prepared to travel there rather than Bicester. I even wanted to buy some shiny new boots but they said I didn't need to They sorted out the OH's very problematic feet and he can now ski free of pain.
I don't know anyone in the south-west but as Mosha Marc said, Filarinski have been recommended.
