Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Lift Pass Insurance

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I noticed on the Tignes web site they sell lift pass insurance at 3 euro a day. There are no details but has any one any information on this locally bought insurance , which i presume is to get you speedily off the slopes in the event of some crazy french snow boarder broadsing an innocent skier. Along with 2 euros for ski insurance a day all bases should be covered. Unless an act of God melts all the snow in Tignes of course. Any advice or opinions much welcome. By the way i am going to Tignes in January , this is not just a random post.

A lot of discussion on snowheads about this - do a search on carre neige. It's a good thing to have but doesn't entirely replace a UK based travel insurance policy.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

It's usually Assur'glisse or Carré Neige. It covers you for:

- rescue on the mountain (on or off piste) and transport to nearest medical centre
- value of pass unused as a result of injury
- lessons ditto
- equipment hire ditto
- any excess you have to pay following medical care, transport, etc
- repatriation
- resort closure

It doesn't cover medical treatment.

Don't know which one Tignes is offering (I assume it's one of these two, don't know of any others) but the cover is more or less the same from both.
