Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Never been on one of these before but reading the info on the website it looks like a fun thing to do. Would be interested to hear if anyone has any experience of this sort of thing in a smaller resort such as LGB. As it's held on the first weekend in December it's obviously very weather dependent soooooo...... am very excited to see the winter wonderland that has appeared over the last couple of weeks and am now (almost!) definitely at the stage of booking flights. Mr Loatie assures me that if LGB becomes green over the next few days we can always go to La Balme in La Clusaz !! So I think we're off!

I think LGB would be a great place for testing skis - lots of great cruising, a huge park (if that's your thing) and some great off piste over the back of the resort.

, Think it's only the Floria lift and a few runs open for the weekend but agree LGB is a lovely place to ski

Sounds good, might try and get down there. I went to the one in Avoriaz last year and it was a lot of fun, although ending up trying some monsters as that was all that was left. Best advice is to get there early!
