Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi everyone, looking for some new gloves and trousers:
-Gloves; I want something warm but not too bulky if possible. Hard wearing and will resist wear on the fingers from ski edges. I have looked at hestra and quite like the army goretex gloves but have also been looking at mountain equipment as i have just purchased a new jacket from them and they seem tot ick the boxes too. Any advice on these too brands?
-Trousers; I'm looking for some in a bright green colour. Again warm and generally comfortable (not too tight but not big and baggy). They must have some form of inner leg protection from ski edges. What brands should i be looking at? I have maximum budget of around £150, but would stretch closer to £200 for something that will last well!
Thanks
Hugh

, for trouser suggestions, have a quick look
here
as a suggestion, although they don't have the lower leg reinforcement.
also,
these
aren't "bright green" but fit all your other criteria. hth
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

, AK (Cyclic I think) have an awesome pair of green pants. EB was giving them away over the summer, they might still have some...

, i've had a pair of Hestra GTX heli's for a few years and they are great. They have done roughly 20 weeks and actually seem to improve with age, but i wouldn't discount the normal heli's. My wife invested in a pair of normal heli's last year, possibly because they come in nicer colours but i don't think she has missed the GTX. They also have removable liners which is a really nice feature as they can be pulled out for drying, if they do get wet, and if it's really cold you can put in warmer liners.
