Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mrs. Craghopper and I are going to a wedding in Quebec in January. Shocked There's no accounting for date selection. In principle it's just for a weekend but I might squeeze a day or so out of it for skiing. snowHead Does anybody have any ideas or advice about where to go, how far, how much, etc. for a day trip from Q? TVM.

Craghopper, Assuming your are in Quebec City, not just somewhere in the province, Stoneham & Mont Ste Anne are close by, about 30 - 40 mins away by car. No idea how much as it's donkeys year's since I've been (and in fact had forgotten, even though I was staying at Chateau Frontenac!). I can't remember what they were like compared to each other to help with choosing.

Mont Ste Anne and Stoneham are the biggest of the ski areas near Québec city and there is night skiing there. You can get a bus from Québec city to the ski areas.

Yes I have been to both and they are excellent. I actually enjoy the night skiing that they offer and because its only 30-40 mintues from Quebec, if you do not feel like staying near the mountain its an easy trip right back after a long day of skiing.
