Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Help! need snowboarding holiday june-august

Hi everyone!
I thought i'd come out of lurk-mode and post a message....

So far i've only been snowboarding for 2 days this year, which sucks.
A friend has managed to book herself on a glacier skiing holiday in france somewhere, but it sounds like they aren't too keen on snowboarders, and i'd prefer to go slightly further-a-field anyway.
Apart from anything else i'll have a new passport that will need stamps Smile
Has anyone here been to the southern hemisphere for a boarding holiday or is planning to go this year?
I found this site http://www.powderquest.com/ which looks promising, but some holidays i've seen in that region sound like you need to hire a helicopter each day which would be quite expensive i should think.
Needless to day i don't have enough loaded friends that would want to join me!
Also, I hardly know any Spanish or Portuguese which doesn't help, so i would need to find somewhere that would have an english-speaking guide etc.
Any guidance/help would be appreciated.

Hey Chewie, I heard Chile is just getting pummeled with snow and accommodation is cheap there since their economy crashed a few years ago

Well....not really. I grew up there. I skied. So probly not much help?? wink snowHead
