Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Zermatt at Xmas

Hi All,

Edit: things changed now, as I dithered too long booking an affordable room. Now I'm in Zermatt 23/Dec-1/Jan. Will probably ski a bit with the SCGB crew, but anyone fancying a hook-up, give me a shout

[Original Post]
I'm in the process of booking a trip to St Anton for 9-10 days 22/23Dec - 01/Jan.

I'll be on my tod, so anyone else there fancy hooking up for a ski? I'll probably do a fair few days with Piste-to-Powder to make the most of what's on offer - but they do get quite pricy if you do a lot with them.

FatOldUglyGuy, Laughing you may not be but I'm afraid I am Crying or Very sad : aged 51, probably about a stone overweight at 90-95kg. Despite that, I ski at PisteToPowder's level 3/4 and Snoworks' level 6 (i.e. hard for a 50-something, but get burned off by good 20-somethings). When there's snow about I'm happiest off-piste as much as possible - looking for whatever the hill has available - but I'm not necessarily looking to spend all my time off-piste at Xmas-time (and it's not necessarily practical either). Actually over the last few years I have been spending a bit more time on piste as it's a good place to refine those techical flaws, and while my skis (Mantras) are not true on-piste skis, they work well enough to have a bit of fun there too. Skier only afraid.

What are you up for?

Hi GrahamN, I'll be in St. Anton from 27 December until 09 January and am also hoping to do something with Piste-to-Powder as a Billy no-mates skier. I was hoping Snoworks would be running one of their Backcountry courses then but they're not starting until 10 Jan. and I need to be back at the place of employment. I'm 45, reasonably fit and think I'll be about Snoworks level 5. You gave me some advice on where to stay in Verbier last year but it didn't work out and I went to St. Anton instead. Enjoyed it loads and have now booked a single room in a small pension next to the Galzig lift. Be good to meet up, looking forward to it.

Hi Kelskii, oops, I spent too long cogitating and the room I was going for booked up. Alternatives started looking too expensive, or way out in the sticks, so I've now changed plans and am going to Zermatt instead. Shame we miss each other, but maybe some other time. Have a good time with P2P.
