Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone got any experience of 'Sporten' ski's?

Hi, I've been trawling ebay for some cheapish skis for my missus so that within a week of skiing shes saved money on hiring. Ive found some good skis but shes found a site that is selling brand spanking new 'Sporten' skis for about £120, I'm a bit sceptical as they are cheap and also I've never heard of them.

Are they worth a shout or am I right in thinking stick to a second hand pair of Salomon Scramblers/K2 One Luv that Im looking at on the fleaBay?

and hi to everyone, only been on for a week or so just gazing at all the info to be had on here.....very good indeed!

I seem to remember they are Czech factory, that have decent models, I wouldn't dismiss them vs a second hand pair of Salomon Scramblers

Got a cheap pair of Sporten skis on my telemark set up. Only used them at Tamworth SnowDome so far, but they seem to be alright...

Sporten are indeed Czech made, and a decent ski in the mid-range. If you are looking for a performance ski, look at Lusti. Also Czech made, but proper sandwich construction, their RC models are awesomely good. Prices are insanely low for the quality.
