Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Smokin Joe, Don't know the Smarthotel, but having stayed at Selva and also skied on the slopes of the neighbouring towns down the valley (St Christina and Ortisei/St Ulrich) I can tell you that St Christina is centrally located in Val Gardena - see piste map
From St Christina the gondola (no. 17 on the piste map) takes you up to the Ciampinoi area which has some nice runs, including the Sass Long Men's World Cup Downhill course that includes the famous "camel bumps" and ends right back in St Christina. From there you can take the Ronda Express Funicular that takes you to the other side of the valley and then take gondola no. 14 on the map up to Col Rasier and Seceda (note the dotted line on the piste map shown as "skibus" was replaced by the Ronda Express).

From Seceda there is a lovely long (10km?) red run down to Ortisei. Very Happy

Hope this helps.

Nice area, huge amount of linked skiing around the Sella Ronda area, highly recommended.

Looking at the smarthotel location, it isn't walking distance to the lifts that Alistair describes, you'll need the ski-bus.

As to pricing, it is per person, not per room. Check out the cleaning charges, I can't work out if they are payable per night or not. Extra for brekkie too.
Might be better to check out some of the B&Bs or apartments near the lifts in Selva, which is more convenient for the skiing.
