Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Extended Ski Trip - Espace Killy Ski Pass

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi,

I am currently researching an extended trip to Tignes/ Val D'Isere. I have looked into ski passes and it appears that there are numerous options but it is most likely that I will purchase a 15 day pass and extend it for a daily rate once it expires. I have asked for confirmation from Val D'Isere as to the overall cost for next year but no joy yet!

Any advice on the best options? If the ski pass price is too high I may as well do a couple of weeks and then go elsewhere in which case any ideas? Wouldn't want to go to far and need plenty fo skiing!

Thanks,

Rob

Bigrobski, I think you will find that you can only get extensions up to 21 days.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Bigrobski, how extended? If you're going for a month+ it could be cheaper to buy a season pass.

Bigrobski, as the others have said above, it all depends how long you're planning on going for. I went to Tignes for 4 weeks in March and it wasn't worth my while getting a season pass for that short a trip. My solution was to get a 15 day pass, which then allows you to extend for another 6 days at around 13 euros per day, then half price for any additional days on top of that. For one month i think I ended up paying around 700 euros, whereas a season pass was 900 - 1000.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

We bought season passes for Grand Massif for (last year) E400 per adult E200 Child. It was a 1/2 price discount if purchased pre season, before 10th Dec I think it was. Perhaps Espace Killy does a similar deal.
