 Poster: A snowHead

A mate of mine is looking at purchasing the new "why rent" package at Snow & Rock for £299 but is worried that the boots will not last due to him getting too good for them. Currently he is a very basic skier who skis with parallel skis most of the time.......when will a boot with a 55 flex start to hold him back?? He is 6 foot and weighs in and about 11 stone.
The boots in question are Salomon Mission 4's
All thoughts welcome!

speedy, with his height, the leverage he will generate will probably crush them from day one, not sure if they will do it but it may be worth asking if he can upgrade the boot a model or two and pay the difference

speedy, the boot in question is too soft, suitable for a child - your mate will out ski the boot from the start. The boys could have told you that rather than trying to be funny!

FAQ
ok 11.5 Not the worlds most experienced or greatest skier but my boots are Speedmachine 10's flex 100-110 and they flex readily when I ski.
