Poster: A snowHead
|
I'm organising an all vegetarian/vegan ski trip to Tignes at the beginning of April. We've got a couple of free spaces.
If you are interested, it would be great to hear from you, especially if you like a bit of off piste skiing! All abilities welcome though.
And if it's not your thing - just reply to the other trip posts instead of this one!

Whereas I'm a veggie who doesn't like Tignes much and doesn't venture off-piste!
Incidentally, how does a veggie ski trip work? Is it a wholly vegetarian catered chalet/hotel?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Yey, I love hemp clothing and chick pea curry can be awesome!
Back to the queen:
most people on our trip don't go off piste either - that's me being hopeful that someone will! Normally I just ski with the Ski Club GB reps to get my off piste highs.
Done catered chalets before with exclusively veggie/vegan catering for the week, which worked v well, but that's got more expensive in recent years, even though Euro is weaker again now. So last year and this we're self-catering where one pair of people from the group cooks in the evening, so we all only have to cook one night each. We make all the food vegan so everyone can eat it.
Tignes - ugly as hell, but the veggie food in the supermarkets is wonderful, the skiing is fabulous, the smaller ski schools excellent and there's little snobbery. Plus we're renting a ski in ski out place with a south facing balcony. Oh, and on top of all that we can get there by sleeper train so have 8 days' skiing instead of 6.

Is there any special kind of ventilation in the chalet?
