Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

snowball,

That must have been a while ago! They are very sensitive to avi risk etc. In Niseko they have gates to the off piste area, they are checked for danger etc then opened.
More than often there is a ski patrol fella there who will give you a quick chat and make sure you read the info on the boards at each gate.
From what I saw they hardly ever piste the runs other than the main ones, it snows all day!!

I have had a couple of ski hols a year for the last 15 years and have never seen so much snow fall in the time we were there.

the one down side to Niseko is it really doesn't have that many steeps unless you are willing to hike about etc, loads of other great small resorts nearby that are completely different.

Just book it!!

Very Happy

Utah. Reckon flights and lift passes could easily eat £1300 of your £2k. Can you share car, get accommo and live on £700 for two weeks? Maybe just but it feels ambitious.

Not ambitious at all!

There're tons of inexpensive lodging about. A car is a nicety but not actually "neccessary". Still, depending on how many are sharing, it should be quite easily doable.

Just this past season, I did a week at about $700, without anyone to share with. Embarassed I met another skier staying in the same motel for a MONTH at $999 (per room, not per person)!!!

Granted, I don't drink much at all... (besides, who wants to drink that stuff they sell at Utah anyway! rolling eyes )
