Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

windythered how many people? My lads group has stayed in three chalets in Verbier all booked through SkiWorld and they've all been good in terms of location with two of them being ski in/out (although this does make it pretty entertaining getting back to the chalet after a night in Farinet or Mont Fort Shocked ) We always rent the whole chalet so the number of beds changes every year.

windythered just been on the SkiWorld site to check the names of the chalets and it looks as if they aren't offering the same accommodation this season. I'll get the names of the chalets from my file as I can't remember offhand (I don't do the booking and our pet names for the chalets such as "James Bond" or "dog kennel" won't help you). Both of them were for about 10 people but we usually look at the price of the whole chalet and divide by the number of people that are going rather than the size of chalet. Lots of the smaller chalets have double beds in some rooms and, unless you are skiing with William Hague you need to count individual beds rather than total chalet capacity. We always book independant flights and transfers too.

However, the best trip to Verbier was a flight to Geneva and then the train to Verbier. It is very easy and much cheaper than renting a private coach.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Try www.skiextra.co.uk
Phone/email Jenny and have a chat with her.
The chalet is lovely, the food top notch, and her willingness to do a deal depends on your dates (ie 1/2 term...full price, odd dates she can be very flexible)
Location wise the bus to the lifts (runs about every 5 minutes during the day) is all of 20 metres from the door and they have a driver service that will pick you up/deliver you to the restaurant or night club of your choice any time throughout the night.
The combination of those makes it more "central to the action" than those chalets that advertise themselves as being in the centre of the town.

Contact us, we have been Verbier specialists since 1992. www.mountainbeds.com fill in the enquiry form and give as much info as possible, ie numbers (whether singles/doubles etc) dates, approx budget etc. We have nearly every hotel, ski business and s/c catered property on our books including quite a few private ones. We also work with Jenny at Ski Extra who I would also recommend.
