Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Went up to Leukerbad today for a hike above the Gemmi pass and some thermal spring action. Lovely place. Definitely going back for the via ferrata!

Headed down to the Burgerbad thermal Spring. Lots of different pools up to 40 degrees and amazing views...








The longest via ferata wall in Switzerland! Logan didn't fancy it this time but we will be going back!


Lovely place with stunning views. Anyone been there in winter? Looks like there's some tasty vertical under the cable car!

Yes, but only up the Torrent side and with the kids so didn't venture very far. Looks like there would be some good options though, especially with a wee hike at the top. Didn't get the impression there would be too much competition for tracks. wink Never been up the Gemmi cable car, any skiing off it?

brian, there's a red marked on the map but I guess that follows the zig zag track. Straight down looks mighty steep so if there's a way down it would be interesting!

BobinCH, Leukerbad is one of my favourite places, the view from the thermal bad is awesome. Do you know Albinen at all, we have stayed many times at the hotel Rhodania, a very friendly place with majestic views overlooking the Rhone valley.
