Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Black Diamond Prime - Interesting Advert

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
The new Prime from Black Diamond. Looks like a lighter weight ie more touring orientated Factor.

I liked the advert for the boots: a single boot on a 'testing machine'. The copy:

Prime

The "Rosenflexor" punishes the Prime's patent-pending triax pivot frame and ski/walk mechanism with:

35,000 cycles, forward / back at 60 Nm of force,
60,000 cycles, four-stage off-axis at 60Nm of force,
100,000 cycles, -20 to 20 range in walk mode,
1,000 cycles, ski mode loaded/released under 80Nm of force
All of which equals multiple seasons of backcountry abuse.

In light of the Salomon Quest thread, I thought it was cool that a manufacturer has seen the error of Salomons ways and based an advert exactly around what Salomon didn't do with the Quest boots...

Can someone please help me?

I really like these boots and the quadrant green version.

I've already purchased some K2 Rictor skis (2012) that inc the marker MX 12 bindings.

Can someone please tell me if these boots are compatible with my skis and bindings?

Be greatly appreciated as would stop me looking unnecessarily if not.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

They are touring boots, you don't need touring boots as you can't tour with the bindings you have.

Thanks... turning my attention to the Black Diamond Factor boots now (or Salomon Quest 12). Alpine soles but still with the walk mode incorporated.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Sorry maybe I've misunderstood, didn't realise you wanted the walk mode. I have no idea if the BD Primes are compatible with alpine bindings although I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find out if they come with alpine soles.

No the quadrant, prime and slant are touring bindings only really.

So i've been recommended by BD to look at the Factor model of boots that are more downhill skiing with the walk mode still.
