Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Jet2 adds ski flights from the North

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Jet2 has added extra routes from Edinburgh and Newcastle to Geneva this coming Winter. Newcastle flights will depart from December 26 to January 9 and then from February 20 to March 27. The new Edinburgh service will operate from February 20 to March 27. ...

Flights are on sale now and in theory cost from £29.99 one way including taxes although we've yet to hear of anyone achieving that price...

Not sure, in reality, how helpful that will be.

Sunday flights only I'm afraid Sad

So our 1 (Saturday) night dashes to the Alps will have to contine from further afield. Sad Sad

But don't all budget airlines allow your favoured way of travelling? ie by plane? Puzzled

Bergmeister, sorry about typo. In answer to your question.... NO, "our favoured DIY way of travelling" is to be flown at a reasonable cost from a NEARBY airport, to a NEARBY airport, thereby eliminating a long-haul bus/taxi transfer...does that now make more sense to you NehNeh

Oh, I see! good news then. Very Happy

Each to their own. However, if we adopted that philosophy in the north east we'd have a very limited number of options for DIY trips - particularly worthwhile weekend trips where we try to maximise skiing time with no time off work.

Luckily for us Easyjet are flying Manchester to Munich this winter - departing at 6.15 Saturday and returning from Munich 21.25 Sunday. We've booked a £50 flight for February which will give us 1.5 days' skiing with no time off work. Knackering but worth it Very Happy Very Happy

Bergmeister, Whatever floats your boat, hope you enjoy, but that's not our idea of a holiday, might have been 20 years ago, but we like to soak up the atmosphere, sit and admire the views at lunch time, chill when we’re tired, and not have to watch the clock! wink

sharon1953,

With Mrs B being a teacher we can't do long weekends.

So (outside the school hols) it has to be a 1 night dash or nothing. Luckily the 1 nighter (sometimes from Stansted. or Luton..) gets both our votes Very Happy

We do realise however it's not everybodys "tasse de the."
