Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

le Freyssinet, Serre Chevalier

Poster: A snowHead
Hi,
I'm looking at an apartment which looks to be in Le Freyssinet near Moutier

http://www.abritel.fr/annonces-detail/france_provence-alpes-cote%20d%27azur_5/appartement_serre%20chevalier_635377.php

Does anyone know anything about the area, is it very isolated? We are not party animals, there to ski definitely but would like to know if there is buses at night, how easy would it be to get to the slopes etc? We will not have a car.

Thanks!

lynseyf, I assume you mean Monetier rather than Moutiers ? Le Freyssinet is quite isolated, and on the other side of the road to the ski area. and although there will be buses from the main road to the ski area, about 5 minutes by bus, there no shops and only one restaurant in the village. There are buses at night, but again would only go stop on the main road. It is not a good choice if you have no car to get around. How big is your party, and when were you thinking of going ? I may be able to suggest somewhere closer to shops and skiing or put you in touch with someone who can.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Map of le Freyssinet here http://www.maplandia.com/france/provence-alpes-cote-dazur/hautes-alpes/briancon/le-freyssinet/, if you zoom out you can see where it is in relation to the skiing. The night buses ran hourly last year I think. You can go to other villages apart from Monetier, Villeneuve is just a little bit further in the other direction.
