Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

La Plagne - New Black Piste for 2010/2011

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
A new Black piste called Dérochoir will be opened for the coming Season.
Full details from Romain Guichons website
http://www.perso-laplagne.fr/News.htm

From what I can see the piste will run from the bottom of the Chalet de Bellecote lift to Les Bauches lift.

Conspiracy theorists will probably see this as the end of the Bellecote lift going all the way up to the Glacier following the closure of the black pistes on the Glacier last season.

" Even last year, despite problems with Vega chairlift, " i'm back in La Plagne in Jan 2011 and I remember the Vega lift being the slowest lift in the world (well felt like it)... has this been replaced now then or are there plans to replace?
snow conditions
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Boredsurfing, having done it a couple of times as off piste - and mainly tracked out - I can't see it being steep enough to be a black if the route you suggest is true.

Puzzled The antique Vega lift was removed last September
and replaced by a new lift from Plagne 1800 and another new lift above Plagne 1800 called Bergerie.

There doesn't seem to be any news on the actual route, but it could possibly be marked up as black to lessen the flow through to the 2 seater Bauches chairlift which is due to replaced in the future.

would make the route back from the glacier much quicker for those of us coming from the right side of the washing line - well as long as you don't get fooled by route des bauches that is...
