Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

what bindings for Rossi Squad 89's

Hi, have just taken delivery of new (to me) toys for next season and will need bindings. I've picked up a set of Rossi Squad 89s, that are 104mm wide. Am looking for recommendations of what to put on them...I've heard that Rossi/Dynastar are putting out heavy duty ski touring bindings next season. any thoughts?

Don't hold your breath! I suspect that even if they announce it this coming season it will be impossible to actually buy until at least 2012. I would like to be wrong.

IMO the Squads are a little on the heavy / stiff side to make a great tourer, unless you know you are going to use this set up for some side country (and go for Dukes) I would put any alpine binding you can get a good deal on... The only bindings that suck are the cheap plastic low end offerings from all the companies. I think the bindings you'll hear the most praise for will be Rossignol FKS 140 or 180 depending on your needs.

They did make a very fetching Freeski version that matched the Squads, but they are heavy...

As parlor said it would already be out there in beta even for a 2011/12 release. Given they had a rebadging deal with Naxo wonder why they didn't buy the design and improve it.

well some people like them...
but whatever, £218 is far too much to pay for a binding whose manufacturer (Naxo) went out of business 2 years ago. you could get some Marker Barons for not much more without trying too hard
