Obviously you cant predict the future but has anyone been to les arcs at christmas time? If so what where the snow condtions like and could you still ski lower down like in arc 1600. I will be going this christmas, has anyone got any advice about some specific ski runs that are good and fun, which were you favourites, they can be any difficulty. Any advice is greatly apreciated. Thanks

Tomo54, welcome to SnowHeads. I've only been to Les Arcs in April, so can't advise, but there are others who will be along soon I expect.

Tomo54, welcome to snowHeads. I've skied in Les Arcs a lot at Christmas. Even in years when the start of the season hasn't been great for snow the majority of the piste network has been open and skiable, including the runs down to Arc 1600 and Vallandry. Key pistes have snow cannons on them, so that helps with keeping the main links open if the snow is not so good.
On the other hand it can be brilliant. This was taken 23 December last year:

Tomo54, welcome to
You'll be fine. Admittedly we arrive the day after , but it's never been a problem, and given I'm having to spread myself a bit thin this year (possible 3 weeks ?! only) , wouldn't have opted for that week if I wasn't comfortable there was skiing to be had.
OK, maybe all the domain won't be open, and perhaps you might not get down to mid station on the funicular, but don't sweat it, plenty of opportunities to ski.
Arcs has such a varitey of good fun runs, of off piste, of 'exciting', of 'wacky', or just plain scary:- something will tickle you. Where you staying, what you looking for?

Villaroger run from the Aiguille Rouge is the classic. The hardest parts are easy black.
