Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Butterfly, be careful that the impression of the C2C week isnt that of loads of peeps. We are usually a group of about 15 - 18 in the end aren't we? Not at all the same as the bashes, with so many people you can't meet them all! Very Happy

kosciosco, you've been provided some excellent suggestions for coaches that can help. I've worked with Easiski and can recommend her very highly for dealing with the fear issues and replacing them with confidence. She's a top notch coach, with much experience in the department of dealing with student fear. It's a very common issue for learning skiers, and she's been honing her craft in this business for a long time.

Fear comes from a lack of skills. Here's an article I wrote about it. http://www.yourskicoach.com/YourSkiCoach/Saying_Goodbye_to_Fear.html

Balance and edging skills are the key development areas your wife needs to focus on to overcome her fear issues. The skills she needs can be developed in a very low stress, non-intimidating, gently progressive manner that allows confidence to grow every step of the way. Given the proper learning steps this is not a lost cause, not at all, far from it. Your wife can learn the skills that will provide great confidence all around the mountain. Her speed will rise all on its own, with no need to force the issue, probably without her even realizing it, because she will have skills and confidence that comes with them to know she can change direction, or bleed of speed, at the drop of a hat, whenever she feels the need.

Good luck. If you have any questions about the specifics of what I've written above, don't hesitate to ask.
