Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The Sofia News Agency reports the death of a British teenage boy at the resort of Bansko, on Thursday. Skiing in heavy fog, he apparently lost his way and collided with the lift machinery. Taken to hospital suffering from serious head trauma he later succumbed to his injuries.

Another sad loss in a season that's becoming a reminder of just how much respect for the mountains we've lost.
What the hell did he "bump" into? I know a very light blow to the 'right' part of your head can kill you, but this seems very weird.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Well given that it says lift machinery an educated guess might be a pylon, it would not be the first time someone died due to skiing into one of those

This was a very tragic accident and our sympathy goes out to his family and friends. Apparantly (the version I have heard) his family had been in ski school for the day, after which their instructor returned them to the bottom gondola station in the village. After leaving their ski instructor the two sons decided they would like one more run to finish the day. What happened after this I cannot say, but, Thursday on the mountain in Bansko was very foggy for most of the day and even though I am an experienced boarder and know the slopes well even i struggled at times and adjusted my speed etc accordingly to suit the conditions.
