My lawd, what have they done to the K Lotta luv graphics, a progressively worse migraine inducer from the 2010 design I think. I love my 08/09s, they're so pretty

Those Movement Super Turbos look cool. And they come in 202 length as well!

Eeyore, agreed. Mrs Empty was thinking of picking up a new pair this coming season (hers are a few years old) and was hoping the graphics would be an improvement on the 2010 ones. I think I slightly prefer the new ones but they're still awful.

Eeyore, I quite like them. The Burnin' Luv graphic is better than my old ones.

holidayloverxx, Burnin' Luvs always seem to get the best graphics, although the 2011 ones aren't great IMO either.

next year is all about the Volkl Kendo, I'd be first in the queue if I hadn't got some new Missions this season.

Thanks for the link. For the benefit of anyone who did the same as me and Arno, the 2011 ski page is at http://www.ski-review.com/content/view/1687/34/. The other one linked is the reviews homepage (and there don't seem to be any 2011 reviews yet).

brian, because it's a more all round ski than the Mantra, and because it's getting rave reviews.

Dr John, I'm sure it'll be a nice ski and fill the smallish gap between the AC50 and the Mantra in Voelkl's lineup, but not exactly groundbreaking. I'd say it's less of an all round ski btw, more like a 60/40 on/off bias to the Mantra's 50/50.

brian, we're getting in the minutia here, but I don't think the mantra are 50/50, not with 96 underfoot. Anything above 90 severely impacts performance on piste, I'm sure it's OK for getting to and from powder, but that's it. My missions are 89 underfoot and I can get good piste performance out of them, but I feel that's the upper limit.

Dr John, no we definitely don't want to go there. For the record, I do wear a helmet and have carried boots as hand luggage.

Bode Swiller, it's a slow day. Quite right, I withdraw the word "severely"
brian, carry boots as hand luggage? Are you MAD?

DaveC, there's a tipping point for everything and, having tried skinny and fat, I would say that 90mm is the tipping point for decent piste performance (certainly for my lowly abilities).
Further notes;
I wear a helmet
I wear goggles in preference to sunnies
I pack my boots in my luggage
Nowt wrong with snowblades as long as you don't mind looking like an utter berk

There are more important things than width with regards to on piste performance - in fact I would suggest the Mantra's, being both tortionally an longitudionally(sp?) stiff, would out-perform your missions. And actually, for a light person at least, the mission's would probably be better in pow (not crud though).
