What do people make of this?

Got the email too. a bit surprised that next season's faves are being revealed so early but will no doubt help retailers with their stocking decisions .
All a bit boring - same type of contenders every year due to the "readily available in the UK" and "for regular UK skiers" judgement criteria. No criticism after all that's who buys the mag.
Big Mountain these days seems to stand for what is your fantasy soft snow ski rather than what would you gun 2000m down a couloir.

DaveC, I'm paraphrasing but there is little point in them picking some boutique garage built brand that TGR gearwhores are alll over but most Euros will never see in their lifetime. Having said that Ellis Brigham stocked Moments (for the scandi mail order market?) so who knows?

RPF, by all accounts next years Scott Mission is even better than this years, which is a good trick to pull off given how good this years is (and not just saying that because I got a set this year. OK, maybe slightly...)

Dr John, or a task they couldn't possibly fail, given how much burning hatred I have for Mission/Punishers

Anyone who skis the HEAD Supershapes raves about how good they are. I know a lot of Instructors and trainers on them. Never tried them myself.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

RPF, I ski'd my iSupershapes last week in Italy, fantastic fun. We had freeze/thaw conditions with a dusting of fresh a couple of times. They behaved impeccably. HEAD had a ski test on and I did sneak one run on the Titans, can't wait till I get mine, they're superb.

I bought some Atomic Nomad Blackeye in USA this year. I am not surprised they are rated highly. They have to be the most versitile ski I have used, great for off piste and trees. I may well get another for a touring setup.
Very light, but get knocked up easily!

Not sure I agree with that - if they tested every ski and the indie ones came out tops, it would probably encourage more Brits/Euros to get them/shops to stock them. Surely the point of a ski test is to tell people what the best skis are, not which skis have the most shop presence. Still, I guess that would ruin Fall-Lines finances...
Since when did S7s become big mountain skis as well?!

The bod I was speaking too at EB seemed to indicate that they look to suppport a different small\specialist company each season.. so I presume whoever gives the best party or freebies to the buyer at the trade show

papasmurf, good stuff, they should be top next season. I won mine in a competition, only had to stick bindings on them, so after I sold my Recons for £150 I made £30 profit on the whole thing. Happy days.

K2 silencers are a suprise, fall line praised them for their light poppyness and their low price which makes them a bit despensable but they seem to last well. Just thought with all the stuff armada and others are coming out with they would've chosen from them.
