Poster: A snowHead
|
Thinking about this for my daughter during October half term. I know there are plenty of Snoworks fans but any experience of this particular course? Any alternative suggestions also? She's 14, skied for 6 years, about 14 weeks, can ski any piste in any condition and is getting handy off-piste too. We (daughter and me) think this would help her skiing development as she's never raced and would be quite good fun too. Plus I could do a week in Tignes too

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

There still don't seem to be many people about but I'll bump this anyway.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Can't help with the race camp for juniors but I've done several of the Snoworks race training weeks so might be able to help with any questions you have...? I did a write up of a week's slalom training on my blog. Not sure what the differences, if any, with the junior camps although I'm guessing it would be GS rather than slalom. If you have any specific questions I've found that Phil and Emma (the two Snoworks directors) are very prompt at replying - their email is on their website.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

rob@rar, Thanks, I've just read your blog it looks good. I've sent an enquiry off to them also which I believe has been forwarded to Phil. I hope the exercising doesn't extend to their other courses, I'm thinking of All Terrain.
ski, About 65 miles I guess. Yes another thought, if they did racing at Tallington which is very close I'd definitely take a look. We're looking at this more to make her skiing more dynamic, not sure whether she would want to go into racing, although she could be bitten.

The fitness sessions at the end of the day are only on their Pro courses so you wouldn't need to enjoy/endure them on their AT course

Very impressed with the service from Snoworks. Yesterday I got an email from Phil Smith, after he had looked at the video of my daughter skiing I'd linked to, commenting on her suitability for the course and how it would benefit her skiing.

Colin B, he's a good guy (as well as a world class instructor) and that's typical of the customer service they offer, IME.
