Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Boots question

 Poster: A snowHead

Can anybody shed some light on this one please, I've had a spot of bovver with boots recently, the latest one was very odd, we went upto Cairngorm the other day and after a couple of hours I noticed a couple of my toes were starting to get pins and needles, I ignored it for a while and a little later the balls of both feet felt like they were on fire. Super feckin' annoying. I took them of for a while at lunch and things calmed down. But after about an hour the same thing was happening. Now I do have quite a wide fore foot and narrow heel so I tried fitting stop heel lift pads, which did the job they were designed for. Until now I've only worn these boots for an hour or so on mount Hemel.
What do you think could be the problem?

Wonder if it's less to do with your boots and more to do with your bindings. Used to get something similar when i'd ratchet my old over-the-foot toe straps down too far and flatten my foot. You may not notice it so much in the Fridge as your runs are short between unstrapping. Try slackening them off a notch (assuming you're not getting toe-lift) and see if it comes back.

Plus it's a cheeky excuse to go to the big mountain again snowHead
