Snow Reports
FAQ
Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi just been on a ski hunt.
Hemel-
snow n Rock
tried some
Dynastar
actives - too light for me
Snow and Rock
charged me £15 for the pleasure of testing them....grrrrrrr and didn't seem to care much what i did!!!
Milton Keynes....the nice people in Ellis Brighman let me try 3 pairs FOR FREE and were really helpful
Dynastary legends 158 would have been my second choice nice ski
K2
one luvs ...still don't like k2s personal thing me thinks as they seem popular with other peeps
Scott
mayas 155.....loved them smiled as soon as i started skiing...but the only had an ex demo at a fairly steep price- so bought in the end from snowtrax with a salomon binding..only a fiver more than the demo.
hemel seems really well staffed- and don't charge for lockers - yr pounds returned
MK less staff, locker takes a non returnable pound, but longer slope with a variety of routes
MK gets my vote ....off peak

tripletimestep
, I'm with you - I love my Mayas and have been really happy with them. I remember smiling the first time I skied them too. Also got mine from
Ellis Brigham
(last season) and got a good deal.
They bugged up the bindings though and I had to have them re-set by the wondrous

ha! hi guys at snowtrack... no you made a good effort at keeping those eyes open!!!
as they are my first skis you can answer some newbie questions......whats the best way to store them over the summer- standing - lying flat- bottom edges together???? do I need to wax them at all
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I do wonder how often the test skis at hemel get a taste of snow!
