Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Planning permission granted to rebuild Wycombe Summit

The appeal against the planning decision was upheld, there are apparently 17 conditions relating to the build, but fingers crossed we'll get a snowdome in High Wycombe soon!

See here (on facebook) for more details. Congrats to Melanie who's kept focus on this.

Good, lets hope the money is still there to build it.

Although you do have to wonder at building 3 indoor slopes in a 30 mile radius

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Why ? The most recent thread on indoor slopes was complaining about how busy the southern ones are.

Simply build one of a worthwhile length, rather than dozens of pointless tiny ones.

That would be great to have the Summit back. Mind you, it's been a while... and I guess it will be a while longer.

Any chance I wonder of getting the "inside out club" re-located Rob, Scott? Laughing

On the subject of a large one instead of loads of tiny ones.... Are there any updates on Snoasis yet? (the proposed winter sports village including 400 odd metre indoor slope).

Last I read was all the planning hoo hah had been sorted out and it got the green light.... Just Imagine, a slope about 3 times longer than Xscape !!!!

If it goes ahead I hope the design of the skiing area is more imaginative than what has been produced during the last 19 years.
