Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Zauchensee is the best.
Flachau on top is easy. Further down are easy reds, getting steep just before the bottom.
The blue from Grafenberg is easy, long and wide. Further in the direction to Alpendorf are a few tricky bits.
Can not comment on Radstadt and Alpendorf.

1969jma, Radstadt will be closed after Easter Monday. I was out on the lump today and had a great time!

Wagrain/Alpendorf is one linked areas. There aren't too many blue areas but there is quite a large blue netwrok quite high. The runs down to the valley are pretty easygoing on the Alpendorf side but a wee bit trickier on the Wagrain side (especially with the heavy spring snow). You can get the gondola back down to the valley from the mid station though.

Flachau will be open. Flachau is basically one side of a mountain and very open at the top. Again, there are some nice runs down to the mid-stations...

Personaly I would head up to Zauchensee as it is a little higher and will be fully open after Easter Monday. Blue 10 , 9, 1 and 2 are great runs that go from top to bottom. I was there 2 days ago, the snow is getting very lumpy and heavy by about 2pm but we are expecting a big drop in temps this weekend and snow! (but we'll wait and see on that one wink )

I concur with flangesax.

Zauchensee is actually next to Flachau as it is linked to Flachauwinkl. Flachau is not linked to Flachauwinkl which needs a cho cho train (a bus decprated as a train for about 10 minutes wait for a 4-minute journey) to get to the Zauchensee side.

I haven't skied Radstadt but did check it out as it is linked to Altenmarkt. This is a small easy area.

Personally I find Wagrain slightly easier because Alpendorf does need crossing a few red.

If you are able to make it the 4 mountain of Schladming it has a very easy section in the upper part of Planai and the lower half of Rohsrmoos which I think will please all beginners.

The easiest resort I found is Fizmoos which has its lifts fully linked by blue runs. It isn't large but appears to cater for learner skiers.
