Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Solo Skiers wanted

Hi

Just been away with my partner to Chamonix and it’s the usual story, you’re in the departure lounge at Geneva airport thinking “I can’t wait a whole year! What, seven quid for a sandwich"
Unfortunately my other half can't get any more time off work and so I have been reading through the posts looking for possible ski buddies/groups.
It then occurred to me that I can’t be the only one in this position and rather than tag along with a party that’s one man down, why not try and organise a trip made up of single skiers/boarders.
I'm thinking the second half of March for a week, I'm flexible but ideally a catered chalet not too far from a lift, somewhere with snow is always useful, not too quiet, not to busy, certainly not too expensive. It’s probably politically incorrect but I think groups work better if of similar ability. I have been skiing for ten years and managed not to pick up any technical skills apart from skiing at warp speed. I am happy to do all the leg work to find something that ticks all the boxes.
Any questions here or pm me

John

johnjeff, If i were you I'd remove your email address and communicate via a pm. . .
If you decide on Chamonix again, I'm already there solo 10-12 March and looking for ski buddies.

johnjeff, have you seen the UCPA thread? Not sure how old you are or what you're looking for but it's a v sociable place and great for single skiers.

Hi John,

Second half of March would be good for me, Cheap is also good although that would need some defining - to me a cheap last minute deal would be in the £2xx mark for a catered chalet/hotel including flights and transfers although i'd probably stretch to £350 (assuming £200 for a lift pass in many resorts) as i'm off to Val D'Isere in April.

Regards,

Tony

suggest Redpoint - good for solo ski holidays - they specialise in solo weeks and include guiding...

check our redpoint.co.uk

I have used them before and they also do all the usuals - in Zillertal Austria
